The buzz of the dance had been high for the last few days, and finally the night has come, so it's time to head to the great hall and dance the night away with a stranger, or a friend. Either way one thing is certain, with so many different people in one room what sort of excitment will happen?
Ooc|| This thread is now open, you'll have to forgive my not making it pretty, it's just I don't have my own computer anymore, so yeah. Anyway feel free to start posting!

[/url] she told him in Russian that she had to do this alone and taking off her fur hat placed it on the chimera's middle lion head. Entering the Hog's Head she took notice of the shadows dancing gloomily across the room as the people inside darkly amused one another. An almost gloomy song played quietly in the background. Looking around and spotting Valentine, Lesya was glad that not only had there not been a huge ruckus of people there that day, but from what she could tell Val hadn't noticed her yet. She giggled lightly to herself and a smile pulled across her face at that usual peculiar mixture of emotions that she found swimming through her as she approached her friend. That deep mixture of excitement, fury, desire, worry, stress, and anticipation that came with her fear. The anticipation of being once again close to her, the anticipation of the desire to press her lips passionatly to those of hers that she knew would come when they were face to face again, the anticipation of holding her tightly that she knew whould nake her fingers tingle. Her pale face flushed slightly beneath her short black hair that caused the tips to of it to turn a light orange from the emotion as she snuck up behind Valentine with a short embrace around her waist before letting go and sitting on the stool beside her. Lesya quickly greeted her friend in Russian without thinking and correcting herslf and said it in English. Val seemed to be saying something to her, but seeing as her words didn't register in Lesya's mind, this was probably because the same sentence was being played over and over again in her head - 'Ask her. Ask her. Ask her...' Normally Lesya was very upfront about these things, she openly flirted with just about every girl in the vicinity, though truthfully the emotions that struck her when she was around Val were far beyond anything she had ever felt for anyone before... So why didn't Lesya simply make her move? She had always made it a point to make her interest in Val known which had been easy with her flirtatious nature, and sh tried to take this further, but there were always several things that got in the way. For one thing, Lesya was almost never able to catch her dear friend alone, and to make things harder wheb she was around her it was like this instant fear that had built up in her over the years had been unleashed. She was instantly reminded of the horrors of her past and the possible horrors in her future. 'Say it!' She thought, the words stuck in her throat... this wasn't like her at all! She was Lesya Nika Selvanus for god's sake! She was bold, exciting, and outgoing! What on earth had gotten into her?! She knew the answer- she was nervous... damn it... she was afraid. Through the window a quick glimpse of Sei walking past reminded her what courage was. With this she could feel the words about to come corageously spilling out of her mouth. Yes, courageously because she remembered someone telling her that courage wasn't the absence of fear, but rather the realization that there was something more important than her fear. "Valentine," she spoke pulling a red apple from her pocket and took off her leather gloves. "Everytime I approach you I'm filled with this intensely enthralling set of emotions that I'm not used to..." she licked her lips gingerly as the tips of her hair deepened to a dark red that matched her crimson eyes. "This desire- this deep interest- this... this fear..." the mixture of emotions stirred within her as she spoke, her eyes never leaving Valentine. "Yeah, that's the word for it- fear... I'm afraid..." she said quietly as her free hand laid gently on top of Valentine's, "- and I like it- this fear" she said, "I know it's strange but, after all - in a way isn't fear a part of love?" she asked sweetly brushing her thumb along Val's hand, "- the fear of losing eachother, the fear of unhappiness without one another?" she asked her best friend with cautious optimism as the red apple in her hand turned into a dark red orchid and Lesya leaned in toward her and tucked the flower behind Valentine's ear. Pulling her white hair slightly back she leaned in closer, her lips brushing lightly against her ear as she whispered in her thick accent, "If fear is a part of love - then I fear you. - Do you fear me?" She whispered, her voice hopeful. ~~~TIME SKIP~~~ That had been how it all had started, how she had finally come to her confession about the emotions that had been playing her like a violin everytime Lesya saw Valentine, and now here she was making her way down the stairs to the Winter Ball to meet Val. Her almost entirely red hair flared out against her frilly white almost dress like suit and cane that she wore as Sei followed beside her.
