Sweet dreams are made of this, Whom am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody's looking for something. The girl's feet carried her towards the Quidditch pitch. She was as serious as Andrew Wood...when he wasn't around. She did anything she could to force him to be annoyed. Her friends had told her to be nice once in a while, and he might like her in return. But she had been getting on his nerves since day one, and it felt like it was a little too late to stop now. A grin crossed her features as she thought about him. She still found herself surprised she loved him. It was kind of embarrassing to know that the thought of him could make her blush, or smile for no reason at all. It wasn't normal for her by any means. Her name was Lorianne Thomas, and she was a chaser on the Ravenclaw team and Captain to boot. She needed to do some solo practice to improve her attack moves. she took a running start and jumped up, swinging her leg over the broom and zooming off to the pitch. It was rare she got a chance to be serious about Quidditch because Andrew always seemed to sneak to their practices and spy. If he ever found out she had a serious streak for Quidditch, he'd know she was doing it to annoy him, and from there he'd find out that she liked him, and that was was pretty sure she was in love with him. Lorianne had dated other guys at the school, but they hadn't gone very far since she always found herself comparing the poor guy to Andrew. They always parted on nice terms, and remained friends, but lately Lorianne hadn't even been looking for anyone else. She was setting her sights on Andrew, and woe to anyone who tried to stop her. Her face was set as she flew around the pitch, ducking down or verying up to hit the rings she had set up to disappear after 3 minutes.

Andrew Carter Wood shut the book and yawned. Finally he was done with his schoolwork! Sure it was Winter break, but he could not afford to fall behind. His parents would kill him! So it was with much reluctance that he had spent all morning in the Gryffindor common room doing school work. At least he was done now. It was early in the afternoon, he still had the whole day ahead of him!
Andrew gathered up his books, parchment, quil, and ink and made his way up to the dormitory. It was strange not having all of his friends around, and he briefly wondered where they were. However, his main focus was on what he should do now. He could go find his friends, flirt with some girls, or play Quidditch. A grin crossed Andrew's face, definately Quidditch. He peered out the window, it didn't seem too cold outside. Probably too cold to be flying, but when had that ever stopped a Wood?
Andrew grabbed his Nimbus out of his trunk and let out a low whistle. The new Nimbus model was his pride and joy. Andrew's father, Oliver Wood, even flew one and he was Puddlemere United, and a three time World Cup, Keeper. He ran a hand through his spiky, blond hair and left the dormitory. He managed to make it out onto the grounds without running into anyone he knew.
The crisp winter air made Andrew shiver briefly. He wore a black, turtleneck, sweater, and he was glad that he had. It wasn't as warm as he had thought. He jogged down to the Quidditch Pitch and was about to get on his broom when he noticed a blur go flying by. He caught sight of flamming red hair and a grin came across the handsome sixteen-year-old's face. That could only be one person, Lorianne Thomas.
Lori was in Andrew's year, and she was almost as good of a chaser as Andrew himself was. She was pretty hot too, at least Andrew thought so. It was a known fact that she had a thing for Andrew, of course he had just found out not too long ago. It was certainly something he was interested in testing out. Andrew Wood was somewhat of a player, so he'd been in few serious, long-term relationships. There was a first time for everything.
Andrew mounted his broom and took off into the air. He loved flying, more than anything. He felt at home in the air. It must be a Wood thing. He flew over to Lorianne, a smirk on his face. "Well look who it is," he greeted.

Sweet dreams are made of this, Whom am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody's looking for something. Lori's pace was fast, and her hair was flying behind her, the cold wind against her face, making it a bit red. She was almost done, had almost broken her record when she heard the oh so familiar voice of Andrew Wood. Shit. She only had three rings left, and thirty seconds. Screw it, she wanted to finish. Flying through the ring, she pulls back around and hovers up above him. She looked down at his face and her heart gave a knock. It was so handsome, and she wanted to.....Shaking her head a bit to clear her thoughts away, she smirked right back at him. "I could have said the same thing about you Andrew. Out to practice what you're not good at?" She was teasing him, because they were on par for their skill level. "What brings you out here Wood?" She asked him, her face getting redder by the moment from the cold. Her face was going to be nice and wind burnt after this. Lori stretched up and cracked her back a bit, with a smile as she leaned forward, circling around Andrew. "You didn't pick up that nasty Malfoy habit of stalking people did you?"

Luckily, Andrew knew that Lori was kidding about the Quidditch comment. That was good. Nothing spiked the famous "Wood temper" more than a comment about him sucking at Quidditch. A grin crossed his face, and he lazily leaned back on his broom. "I'm the best Quidditch player in the school," he retorted, as if it was a common fact.
He too, was red from the cold. He hated winter. It made his favorite things, flying and Quidditch, difficult. He pulled out his wand, muttered a quick spell, and let out a relieved sigh as warmth flooded through his body. That felt so much better.
He turned his attention back to Lorianne, briefly admiring her pretty red face as she spoke. "A stalker?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Do I look like one of those low-life Malfoy's to you?" He retorted. An amused smirk crossed his face, he threw his hands up in defeat. "Yeah, you're right, I'm stalking you," he said seriously, shaking his head. "And thank you for the wonderful image you gave me when you got dressed this morning," he added with a wry grin.

Sweet dreams are made of this, Whom am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody's looking for something. Good Lord. Now it wasn't just the cold making her face red!! He was making her blush, because she did want him to see her changing.....Damn she had to get her mind off it! She had to!! "You're a real jokester Andy. Funny funny." She said, giving him a look that clearly stated that she was unimpressed, which of course was only a front. "Hey Andy, how about a race? Loser has to answer any question the winner asks. After all, they say we're the fastest chasers at the school. Hell sometimes we're faster then the bloody Seekers!" She grinned at him, after she finished speaking. she wasn't going to throw the race if he agreed to it, because she wanted to ask him if he liked her. If there was nothing there, she would start trying to move on. "Or are you too much a coward to take me on?" She changed her grin to a smirk as she watched him with a taunting look.

Andrew's smirk widened as he noted the extra redness added to Lorianne's face. He had a hunch that it had little to do with the cold. He enjoyed having that effect on girls, especially Lorianne. Andrew had been with /a lot/ of girls, he was somewhat of a player though.
For whatever reason, he found himself growing very attracted to the pretty red-head. The way she said "Andy" sent chills down his spine, in a good way that had nothing to do with being cold. He wouldn't mind seeing her getting dressed. Damn her for having such an effect on him.
Andrew's grin widened at her challenge. He was always up for a competiton. "Alright," he said, flying over to her, "you're on Lori," he said. There was no way he could lose, "Hope you're reedy to lose," he taunted. He better think of a good question to ask her.

Sweet dreams are made of this, Whom am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody's looking for something. Lori grinned back at him, and scoffed lightly. "Like I'll loose. Don't cry to hard when I hit that finish line first." She said, before looking around. They had to decide on the course. A straight race would be no fun. "Course goes over to the Groundkeeper's hut, or where it used to be, up to the womping willow, then up to the astronomy tower, and then back down to the qudditch pitch. Deal?" She asked looked at him, rubbing her hands together to get some warmth back into them. {{OOC: Sorry for the fail length. Post back with him agreeing to it, and I'll post out the race from Lori's point of view. Who do we want to win?}}

Andrew listened intently to her directions. When she finished he nodded eagerly. This race was his. There was no way that he, Andrew Carter Wood, would lose. "You're on. Just remember that it will be you who is the loser," he laughed. She wouldn't win.
What question would he ask her when he won though? He could ask her anything? He could ask how she really felt about him. He already knew that though. It was common knowledge. He would think of something. "Well let's go before we freeze out here," he told her.
((OOC: Lori can win. xD I think that's how it ought to go.))

Sweet dreams are made of this, Whom am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody's looking for something. Lori smirked at Andrew. She had the same thoughts. There was no way that she, Lorianne Elizabeth Thomas was going to loose to him. She wouldn't allow it to happen that way. They started out side by side in the middle of the Quidditch Pitch, and when she yelled GO! they both took off like a bullet from a gun. Side by side for most of the way to the grounds keeper's hut. From there, she pulled ahead little by little, mainly because she pulled a 90 degree turn by going upside down and spinning right way up shortly after. The Whomping Willow was the next area, and it was here that she almost lost it. Flying around the branches of the Willow, she ducked under on, side swiped another, and then flew over top yet another. She was almost out of the Whomping Willow when a small branch snagged her foot and threw her off balance. Spinning wildly, she manages to get her bearings again and took off. Breathing hard, she leans low on her broom and streaks after Andrew who had managed to pull ahead of her. Up to the Astronomy Tower, and then it was a neck in neck race to the Quidditch Pitch. Lori managed to get close enough to Andrew that she could shoulder bash him out of her way. She hit the pitch with three seconds on Andy. Lori had done it. She had won. She landed her broom and then lay on the snow covered pitch, staring up at the grey sky. She felt like a goddess right now. Sitting up, she looks at Andy and utters her question in the most blunt way she possibly could. "Andy, do you like me more then a friend?"

Andrew was kind of in a daze once he reached the Quidditch pitch. He couldn't believe that he lost. Andrew Wood /never/ lost. Okay, that wasn't true at all but still... He was somewhat of a sore loser as well. He couldn't be mad in this situation. Not at Lori. Never.
He flew down and jumped off his broom. He walked over to Lori, a grin on his face. Though he had lost, it had been a good race. Besides, his father always said that a little humbling experiance every now and then was good... as long as it didn't mean losing the Quidditch Cup.
The sudden outburst of how he felt about Lori caught him off gaurd. Did he like her as more than a friend? The grin turned into a dazed expression. Crap. He had to be honesf though. He took a deep breath, "Well... Yeah," he said, looking at the ground.

Sweet dreams are made of this, Whom am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody's looking for something. It took her a moment to realize what he had said, before Lori was up off the ground and tackling him so fast that she was sure that his head spun. She had waited for so long to hear him say that, and now that she had, she was so happy. Straddling his hips, and her hands pressing his shoulders down, she looks at him. "For serious? You're not shitting me?" Her voice held a hint of desperation. She really wanted him to just tell her the truth, and if he really liked her or not. Because if he did, she'd tell him the truth about how she felt about him, just to be fair.

Andrew had not expected her to come flying at him, nor tackle him to the ground. He was pretty sure there wasn't supposed to be two Loriannes on top of him. It took a minute for his head to clear and for him to proccess her question. "Bloody hell!" he exclaimed. "You tell a girl you like her and she tries to murder you. What madness is this?" he questioned.
Of course he really did like Lori. She was pretty, funny, played Quidditch... What wasn't there to like? "Yes I'm serious," he told her. That cocky, crooked grin crossed his face. He would prove it to her. Andrew reached forward, and grabbed her head. He pulled it down to his, and softly kissed her on the lips. It lasted a few moments before he let her go. "Now do you believe me?" he asked, amused.

Sweet dreams are made of this, Whom am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody's looking for something. Lori looked down at him, an apologetic look on her face. And before she could apologize, he was kissing her. She had her hands against his shoulders for a moment before closing her eyes and allowing her body to relax into the kiss. "Yeah I believe you." She said with a quick lick of her lips. "I'm sorry for tackling you to the ground.....I just wasn't really expecting that answer from you...I've liked you for ever...or well...since Year 1." She said, her face red with cold and a full fledged blush. Finally realizing that she had tackled him to the ground, she got off him and held her hand down to him. "Let's get in where we can get a glass of Pumpkin Juice to warm up speed demon." Her voice was kind and her face held a smile.

Andrew watched her expression with amusement. His kisses had that effect on people. "Oh you know, it's no big deal. I don't mind just laying around here on the ground... in the snow. It's kind of cozy," he laughed. He took her hand and pulled himself up off the ground, pausing to brush the snow off of him. "And yeah I already knew that. I think most of the school knows," he told her with a wink. He ran a hand through his spiky, blonde hair. "Alright. Let's go," he said, grabbing his broom.

Sweet dreams are made of this, Whom am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody's looking for something. Lori grabbed her broom and lightly shoved Andrew. "The entire school does not know that I like you!!" She retorted, as they walked back to the school. Something in her wanted him to kiss her again, but maybe once they got up to the Great Hall. Shouldering her broom, in the classic Quidditch player pose, she walked a little closer to him, and bumped his hand with her, subtly telling him that she wanted him to hold her hand with his. "But quite frankly I don't care who knows, now that you actually know about it....."
