How could she already be out of Licorice Wands? Hadn’t she bought a ton of them just last weekend? Emmaline let a frustrated sigh escape her lips and she rubbed her hands together. It was freezing. If her addiction wasn’t so serious, she would not be out here right now. It was, though, and so she was making the long journey to Hogsmeade from Hogwarts. Emmaline crossed her arms over her chest and picked up the pace, trudging through the snow. The path to Hogsmeade obviously wasn’t traveled enough because she was having trouble right now. Merlin, why couldn’t they just use magic and melt it all into a nice path? Wait, couldn’t she do that? . . . She’d forgotten her wand. Emmaline groaned and muttered a curse before mentally scolding herself. She didn’t really like to swear.
Finally making it to the quaint village, Emmaline had to resist just ducking into every store on the way. Anything to get out of this cold! It wasn’t long, though, and she was finally, at last, at Honeydukes. Emmaline yanked the door inside and practically skipped in, suddenly excited to be somewhere warm. A smile lit up her face. Honeydukes was her home away from home away from home. First came home, then Hogwarts, then Honeydukes. This place was amazing. It had virtually every candy and sweet in the Wizarding World and even a few Muggle treats as well. Those Nerds, for example. They were new products. Honeydukes decided to experiment by selling the Muggle candies and they were apparently quite a hit. So, they kept what was popular and viola. She wasn’t here for chocolate, though. Emmaline wanted her Licorice Wands and she wanted them now!
Emmaline came here so often, she was a regular. The owner knew her, the employees knew her and the other regulars knew her. So, it wasn’t surprising or confusing when quite a few people said “hey, emma!” upon seeing her. She’d wave back, but not let this stop her from her destination. Finally! The Licorice Wands! Emmaline grabbed one from the jar, unwrapped it and immediately began to eat it. It was great because it could be a lollypop or it could be a quick-finish-in-moments snack. Now in Heaven, she glanced around, wondering if she knew anybody.

She smiled to the owner and then looked back to the girl before becoming more interested in one of the blood pops playing with it lightly moving the ribbon that held the pack together.[/ul]

Emmaline nibbled on the Licorice Wand, loving every bite and taste. God, she loved being a witch. She couldn’t even imagine her life without this delicious, scrumptious candy. Emmaline hadn’t seen anybody she knew and so she turned, intending to grab more Wands so she could buy them and take them home. Someone didn’t want her grabbing these, it seemed, as she was bumped into and pushed a bit away from the counter. “Oof,” she murmured, looking for who had ran into her. Oh! Bellatrix... Emmaline knew the girl from the various run-ins at Honeydukes and, of course, her infamy at Hogwarts. Then there was somebody saying hello and she looked for the voice. One of the owners, her favorite in fact because she knew he was the one to make the Wands, had greeted them. “Hello,” she answered, a short second before Bellatrix. Emmaline rose her eyebrows, wondering what she was talking about. Didn’t you just buy fudge at the counter? Was she getting fudge made just for her?
Emmaline began to chew on the Licorice Wand again, contemplating whether she wanted to say anything. It wasn’t that seeing Bellatrix was awkward, it was just sort of weird. It wasn’t uncommon, just uncomfortable. Normally, the two wouldn’t say a word if seeing each other in the hall. They were in different Houses, they hung with different people. “Hello, Bellatrix,” she said around the candy, giving her a small wave and a kind smile. As long as none of her nasty friends were around, Emmaline could be civil. But if that Rogue girl were to show up, things would go from okay to get-banned-from-Honeydukes bad. And that would not be okay. “What was that?” she asked, “about the fudge?” Emmaline watched as Bellatrix unwrapped a Blood Pop and tried to keep from scrunching her nose up. Ick.

" She said forcing a small smile. She didn't talk to the girl at all, so she was mildly surprised that the woman knew her name, then again Bellatrix was widely known around school, for her...well...for being a Lestrange, and other things. Then she was asked about her fudge, she popped one of Rogue's blood pops into her mouth, and cringed slightly at the taste, before getting use to it. " Oh, you see I like strawberries, and I came to the owner with an odd request, I pay well for it since it's special order, but it's Strawberry fudge. So Chocolate and Strawberry." She said, her tone not as cold as it normally was, but she was mildly happy with the thought of her fudge. She moved the blood pop to the other side of her mouth with her tongue. The salty iron taste washing over her taste buds once again, she shivered a little, it was an odd taste, but it was something to munch on until she got her fudge. The Owner dissappeared into the back for a few minutes leaving the two girls unsupervised. Not that Bellatrix was in the mood to do anything but wait for her sugar rush. " So, you like Licorice Wands, that's all I see you get." She said in an attempt to make conversation in the impending awkward silence she knew was coming. " They are okay, but I still like Pepper Imps." She said with a light smile before looking around to make sure no one she knew showed up. That would be bad, Because, Bella had her days were she could be as charming as a sweetheart, and then she had those days she made Voldemort look pleasant. If you got her on a rampage, it was best to stay away from her for the rest of the week. But luckily today she was in a pleasant mood, now no were near where she could be considered a sweetheart. Just where she could be considered pleasant. Like most Slytherins that could end very quickly if something happened she didn't like. [/ul]

Emmaline listened carefully, something she was quite good at, and nodded once Bellatrix had finished explaining. Strawberries were delicious. One of her favorite fruits, actually, but it came after oranges. Strawberry fudge actually sounded really good. Emmaline wondered how much Bellatrix paid for it and if Emmaline would be allowed to request some for herself. She figured the Slytherin really wouldn’t want to share the original treat, anyway. “That sounds really good. I wouldn't mind trying it” she finally said. “Chocolate and strawberry,” she repeated, thinking. “Mmm, chocolate covered strawberries.” It was a random sort of comment but she could remember having them on special occasions at home. They were really quite delicious.
Emmaline glanced to the Licorice Wands and nodded. “I love ‘em,” she answered, realizing the one she was currently chewing on was nearly gone. Well, that was troublesome. She’d have to remember to grab some before she left. Conversations sometimes distracted her from what she was there for. Hopefully, she had enough money in the first place. She wasn’t entirely sure on how many Wands she intended on buying and whether she could afford how many she did want. “Pepper Imps?” Emmaline paused to try remembering what the candy was all about. She knew she’d had them on few occasions... Oh! “Those make you, like, breath fire, right?” she asked, unsure. Emmaline could sort of remember the experience and from what she was remembering, it hadn’t been pleasant. Emmaline preferred flat out sweets and that was that. No candies that messed with her mouth and freaked her out in the process.

" She said she moved the lollipop once again to the other side of her mouth crunching down on it breaking the blood pop with a few more intimidating sounding crunches the stick was all the was left, so she contently chewed on it. The sound of the owner returning brought her attention to him. He carried a little box, and she could smell the sweet smell of chocolate and strawberries filled the air around them. She smiled warmly and opened the box pulling one of the wrapped brown and pink chocolate pieces out and setting it on the counter closest to Emma. And nodding to her, she put her money on the counter and turned away. " Well, it was nice talking to you Emma, perhaps we can do it again sometime. I'm heading to the Three broomsticks." She left it opened as an invitation. If the girl wanted to follow or not, Bella wandered down the aisle of the candy store and then out into the cold air again. She leaned against the cold rocky wall and opened her little box again, pulling out a piece of fudge and popping it into her mouth to drowned out the taste of the blood pop. She looked up to inspect the people around her, no one she knew, and personally no one she cared to meet, she started on her way to the three broomsticks, but paused halfway though, she didn't know if she really wanted to go grab a drink, but a little twinge in her told her that she would, because as soon as she got to the common room she was sure her brother would be there, and if it was octavius she knew that the whiskey would kill the pain, and possibly make the feelings stop. But she knew that that wasn't the best way to stop it, the best way would to get out of the situation, but how would be the question.[/ul]

Emmaline cringed at the sounds of the Blood Pop breaking in Bellatrix’s mouth. How could she stand those? But then again, that was just Emmaline’s personal opinion. As stated before, she preferred flat-out sweets. She turned to grab a few Licorice Wands, knowing now that she wouldn’t forget to leave with some in her possession. By the time she’d turned back to look at Bellatrix, the owner had returned with her fudge. It smelled so yummy. She hadn’t been kidding. Emmaline wondered, again, if she could afford or even ask for some for herself when Bellatrix was setting a piece out in front of her. A smile lit up her face and she looked to the Slytherin to thank her when she began to talk. She gave her a wave, with her free hand, “it was and we probably will. Thank you for the fudge!” she managed before Bellatrix headed out of the candy shop. The Three Broomsticks? Bellatrix hadn’t said she couldn’t go with her and she hadn’t said she could. Maybe it’d be alright? Emmaline turned back to the counter, now facing it and the owner. She gently grabbed the fudge and took a bite. Whoa. Super delicious yum. This was fantastic. It was almost as good as Licorice Wands. Like, it was really close. Emmaline, while still eating the fudge, set the Wands she currently held on the counter and then grabbed some more. She set down what was left of the Strawberry Fudge and pulled her money pouch from her jacket pocket.
The owner rung up the sweets and she took the coins out as the price rose. “That fudge is delicious,” she said, making small talk. Finally, the candy was all rung up and she paid. Waving goodbye, Emmaline grabbed her Honeydukes bag and headed out of the store, fudge in her free hand. It was nearly gone and by the time she’d reached the door, she was finished. Tossing the wrapper into a nearby trashcan, she prepared for the bitter cold she’d be stepping out into. Emmaline headed out, inhaled sharply and pulled her jacket and scarf around her more tightly. She glanced around, looking to see if Bellatrix was still around or if she had already made it to the Three Broomsticks. Ah! Was that her? Yes, it was. Emmaline jogged up to her, hoping the movement would warm her up. “Bellatrix!” she called, nearing the girl and then stopping beside her. “That fudge is so good. Brilliant job, coming up with it!”

BELLATRIX MADELINE LESTRANGE!
--"It's a cruel bind that ties me to you."
" she said her tone spiked with warmth, but her useual tone was cracked among it, it was to hard to keep familiarty away. She had been so use to being a stuck up bitch, the moment she didn't have to be one, she didn't quite know what to do. She remembered one conversation she had with one of her Cousin's. "Why are you such a bitch Bella?" "Cause it's all I know." it was true statement, even if her cousin thought it was a mere joke. " So would you like to get a drink...it's on me." she said her eyes looking pass the girl to make sure they were in fact totally alone, god all she needed was someone who could hold this against her to witness her civil behavior, and tell the others. She wondered what would happen if one of the other two found out she was fraternizing with the enemy? a shiver finally took a hold over her and she shook once or twice, she let her eyes fall to the ground the snow was melting on her shoes, and she could feel the wet start attacking her foot, she almost snarled, she hated wet. Her eyes moved over to the girl, for once Bella was almost astonished that someone who she wasn't particularly civil to was trying to come with her, to get to know her. She wasn't sure if this was an order trick or if it was a legitimate thing. She would play back for now, but like she normally did she wouldn't let the person get to close. All she needed was someone who shouldn't know what was going on, to find out what was going on. She motioned for the little door they were nearing, she wondered who would be there, perhaps Scorpius. Oh! Wasn't this the foolish little Puff that he was playing with...how interesting, now Bella had a motive to getting close to this girl, she would see what Scorp was getting out of her, and she would see if she could get more out of the woman. This would be eventful after all, now she had a back story if someone mentioned anything to her about this meeting, fantastic. " Entrez-vous, mon chéri Hufflepuff." she offered in light french. She always figured that she sounded more inviting when she spoke in her native tongue. After all French was a lighter language. [/ul]

Emmaline folded her arms over her chest, trying to keep the cold out. Her toes were freezing and her face was cold but there wasn’t much she could do about that. She needed to see what she could do about getting clothes that were like electric blankets. Just a little remote and she could make her socks all warm and cozy. They had magic, for goodness sakes! Why wasn’t it being used on clothes? Pushing her distracting thoughts away, Emmaline listened carefully as Bellatrix spoke. They were headed towards the Three Broomsticks, she realized, though she hadn’t quite remembered continuing on. “I see,” Emmaline muttered, nodding. Which cousin? , she wondered. The Lestrange family had so many children, Emmaline often had trouble keeping up. She knew of Bellatrix, Adrian, Israel, and Caius. Then Bellatrix had… two brothers, right? Emmaline hadn’t made it a habit of knowing the Slytherins, though. “I can stand straight up chocolate if it is milk; not dark, though.” Emmaline spoke casually for she didn’t want the conversation to reach that awkward silence.
Bellatrix spoke soon, though, and Emmaline smiled and nodded. “That sounds lovely. Thank you.” Emmaline was colder than before, if that was possible, and she was glad to have finally arrived at the Three Broomsticks. Emmaline looked to Bellatrix, a bit surprised, at the sudden French. She did not know the language but it was vaguely familiar. She much preferred just speaking English, it made things much simpler but that was alright. French was pretty. Pulling the door open, Emmaline stepped inside and almost squealed in joy at the warmth. She didn’t, though, and instead continued inside, holding the door open for Bellatrix. Then, she looked around for an empty table. It seemed rather crowded but this was the Three Broomsticks, after all. She glanced to Bellatrix before leading the way to a table nearby, just hoping to at least get a table. Settling down in the chair, folding one leg underneath her, she set her bag of candy beside her feet and then let out a quiet sigh. Now, she wasn’t quite sure what to talk about. They weren’t in the same house, they were on opposite sides of this war, and they rarely spent anytime together on purpose. What was there to discuss?
